The City of Bosch

Around the time of the birth of Jheronimus Bosch (about 1450), the city of 's‑Hertogenbosch had almost reached the size it would keep until the end of the 19th century. With a population of well over 14,000 people in the middle of the 15th century up to about 16,000 around 1515, 's‑Hertogenbosch was the seventh city in size in the Netherlands.
