Video artist Jeroen Kooijmans worked ten years on the installation The Fish Pond Song, a triptych named after the mysterious pond in the famous painting Garden of Earthly Delights.
With dozens of extras he filmed in The Netherlands, in Hungary and on Curacao.
In The Fish Pond Song the visions of Bosch and the wars since the attack on the Twin Towers converge. Jeroen Kooijmans created a surreal world with a story about struggle, insanity, hope and salvation.

This epic triptych now premieres in an unique presentation. Experience a journey through an overwhelming installation that occupies an entire floor of the Stedelijk Museum ’s-Hertogenbosch. Listen to the ‘song of the fish pond’ by renowned author Tommy Wieringa, a poetic cycle commissioned for The Fish pond Song.

Two exhibitions under one roof. From February 13 to May 8, 2016 the exhibition Jheronimus Bosch – Visions of a Genius will be on show at the neighboring Het Noordbrabants Museum. A ticket for this exhibition will also give you entry to The Fish Pond Song by Jeroen Kooijmans.
